Thanks to the shaped brush types that can touch every area in the pool, the pool is completely purified without any algae residue.

In the cleaning periods of the pools, complete cleaning is carried out every 2 or 3 weeks, that is, the pool water is completely drained and cleaned, while top cleaning and maintenance operations are carried out every 2 or 3 days. Therefore, the stains on the outer edges, walls and floors of the pools are not cleaned sufficiently. WHAT ARE THE TYPES OF POOL BRUSHES?

Pool brush types are as follows:

NYLON CLAY BRUSH

Nylon bristle brushes, which are suitable for all pool types for cleaning pool steps, walls, floors and tiles, are resistant to substances, deposits and debris in pools. Nylon bristle brushes, which usually have a diameter of 28-30 cm, offer soft cleaning without damaging the pool coverings.

STEEL ARMORED BRUSH

Like nylon bristle brushes, steel armored brushes are suitable for almost all pool types for cleaning pool steps, walls, floors and durable tile surfaces. The rectangular, uniform steel armored pool cleaning brushes are not recommended for use on sensitive tile surfaces such as glass mosaic tiles. Steel armored brushes are especially used for general cleaning of pools that are closed for long periods of time such as winter months. Steel armored cleaning brushes perform pool cleaning with harder scrubs than nylon bristle brushes.

HOW TO USE A POOL BRUSH?

In pool cleaning, first of all, the pool brush is placed on its telescopic pole. The necessary cleaning and disinfectant materials are added to the empty pool and the scrubbing and cleaning process is applied with the help of the brush. If the pool to be cleaned is an unpainted concrete coating, steel armored brush or nylon bristle brush can be used, if the pool to be cleaned is shotcrete coating, it is recommended to use steel armored brush, if the pool to be cleaned is painted concrete, fiberglass or vinyl coating, it is recommended to use nylon bristle brush.

The pool brush to be preferred according to the shape of the pool should be used in the form of an angular brush in rectangular or square pools, and in a standard mold (rectangular) in circle pools. First of all, the pool walls, then the pool floor and finally the stairs, if any, should be purified after cleaning with the help of a pool brush. This prevents the formation of algae, moss and bacteria in pools.

WHICH CLEANING MATERIALS SHOULD THE POOL BRUSH BE USED WITH?

The pool brush can be used with anti-algae liquid cleaning material, cleaning acid, pool treatment material. Mostly liquid chlorine is also among the cleaning agents used with the pool brush. However, chlorine in capsule form is more preferred after filling the pool water. Since liquid products are generally easier to spread and brush, powder products are less preferred if a pool brush is used for cleaning.

WHEN SHOULD THE POOL BE SCRUBBED?

Pools should be cleaned frequently, especially in summer and spring. Depending on the size of the pool, it should be purified with a pool brush at least once a week following the cleaning periods. The use of pool brushes during each cleaning makes the pool water look cleaner and clearer.

WHAT IS THE IMPORTANCE OF A POOL BRUSH IN POOL CLEANING?

The pool brush is very important in terms of both cost, deep cleaning and savings in pool maintenance and cleaning applications. Pool brushes used manually eliminate the cost of electricity. Pool brushes, which provide deep cleaning with bristles that can enter every area, completely destroy bacteria and algae on the bottom of the pool. It offers savings as it does not have factors such as electricity bills and repair costs. Compared to nylon bristle brushes, the use of steel armored brushes is more recommended if the pool structure is suitable. Steel armored brushes are longer lasting and do not require maintenance and repair.

WHAT TO CONSIDER WHEN CHOOSING A POOL BRUSH?

  • A suitable pool brush should be selected according to the shape of the pool to be cleaned.
  • A suitable pool brush should be selected according to the types of tiles used in pool coverings.
  • Quality pool brush brands that do not deform in a short time should be preferred.
  • Pool brushes should have flexible bristles that can clean the pool floor, walls and stairs without damaging and abrasion.
